Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but how do I know that I'll get credit for my work in a contest entry? Should I get a copyright or something?
Dear David, I think you’re missing the point of the book and the contest. The book is free to everyone. No one is making money from it. Its intent is to make the world better, fairer, safer, and sustainable. I’m trying to make the book more effective, and am offering incentives to elicit more help to improve and disseminate it. Why would I NOT give you credit for your help? Copyrighting is quite easy, on the other hand, and not terribly expensive. But in this case, I think it a waste of money, both for the reason mentioned, and because if you contact them, I think you will find that original works are automatically considered copyrighted even if you do not officially register them. This book is already the product of lots of peoples thoughts--both written in the references, and feedback from readers. If "two heads are better than one", I am hopeful that a book continually improved by its readers, will become very effective. I certainly hope that you choose to read the book and help me improve it.

when's the deadline for the contest? Mandi
I'm hoping for responses as soon as possible, so I can carefully read and evaluate each one carefully. But I have no idea how many responses we will get or when we will get them. (We've never had a contest like this before.) I hope to announce winners by this December, and will do so for sure before next June. Thanks for your interest. I hope you read and enjoy the book, and I look forward to your comments.

John, Have you thought of adding links to your site to other sources of info that support your book. I think it adds some credibility and will also give the readers more info from other places that deal with similar topics. Just my 2 cents for today and wanted to give you my email address so you have it on file. Thanks Cindy
Great idea. Anyone have any suggestions for links we should include?

Loved reading your book. The points you make are compelling, and your conclusions inescapable. I will go over your suggestions very carefully in the process of doing my bit to make the world a better place for myself and for posterity... Thank you for sharing your insights, which will hopefully set in motion a chain reaction of constructive thought (and actions)! Kumar
Thank you for your comments and interest. Please tell everyone you can about the book, and ask them to help spread the word too.
